This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while gaining valuable experience in software development. As a volunteer, you will work closely with our development team to enhance and maintain our platform. Responsibilities • Collaborate with the development team to design and implement backend services using Golang and the Gin framework. • Develop and integrate REST APIs to enhance platform functionality. • Assist in database management and migrations using Postgres and Atlas. • Work with Kafka for message brokering and real-time data processing. • Contribute to web development projects and design patterns. • Engage in problem-solving and logical thinking to address technical challenges. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality. • Work closely with DevOps concepts (Azure Cloud) Required Skills • Proficiency in Golang and experience with the Gin framework. • Understanding of REST API development. • Familiarity with Postgres and backend development. • Basic knowledge of Kafka for data streaming. • Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills. • Experience with Atlas for database migrations is a plus. • Awareness of Ruby on Rails is an added advantage.
