About the role

Senior Frontend Engineer (Product Engineering) Remote · Eastern Hemisphere (timezone overlap required) FINN is a fintech company building simple and transparent products that improve financial well-being for underbanked employees. Our core offering gives people access to wages they have already earned, alongside tools to help them manage money better, build savings, access insurance, earn additional income, and use fairer financial services. Founded in 2022, FINN is the largest player in the early wage access space in Southeast Asia and is expanding rapidly into new markets globally. We are looking for ambitious builders who take ownership, move fast, and want to shape products that create meaningful impact in people’s lives. This is a high-ownership IC role. You'll work alongside our Frontend Lead and a small team (currently 3, scaling to 5+), shipping features end-to-end across web and mobile. What you'll do • Build and ship complex, user-facing features across web and mobile (Angular + Ionic) • Own features end-to-end: dig into the problem, design the approach, ship fast, and iterate based on real usage • Contribute to technical direction — advocate for better patterns, tooling, and developer experience • Partner with product and design to define solutions, not just execute specs • Write clean, performant code at a high pace — quality and speed, not one or the other • Raise the bar for the team through code reviews, technical input, and leading by example How we work We're a small team that values clear thinking over heavy process. Engineers get real context on the "why" and autonomy on the "how." We ship frequently, learn from production, and make pragmatic tradeoffs. We plan enough to move confidently — but never so much that we slow down. AI in our workflow AI is becoming core to how we build. We use LLMs daily for coding, debugging, automated code reviews, design doc reviews, and we're building internal tooling to push this further in and out of the Engineering team. We expect engineers to use AI as a force multiplier in their daily work — and to contribute ideas on how we can do it better. What we're looking for • 5+ years shipping complex user-facing products in production (web + mobile ideal) • Strong product instincts, you push back when something doesn't feel right for the user • Deep TypeScript fundamentals (component architecture, state management, performance) • Ability to operate independently: you take ownership of a problem and drive it forward • Pragmatic judgment on architecture vs. shipping and learning • Clear communicator who can articulate tradeoffs and advocate for their approach Our stack is Angular + Ionic. Strong engineers from React, Vue, or other modern frameworks ramp quickly — we care more about fundamentals than specific framework experience. This role probably isn't for you if • You aren't comfortable with some level of ambiguity • You default to large rewrites when the problem needs solving in days • You optimize for architectural purity over learning from real users • You need a lot of structure or guidance to do your best work Why join • Your work directly shapes the product experience for hundreds of thousands of users • Small, high-caliber team — minimal bureaucracy, fast feedback loops, clear business impact • High autonomy and real ownership from day one • A seat at the table in defining how frontend engineering evolves here • Work from anywhere #APJ #EMEA Originally posted on Himalayas
