About the role

Location: Remote from LatAm Working hours: Full-time, aligned w/ Eastern or Central Time business hours (ET, CT) Job Type: Contractor, monthly payments in US dollars Benefits: 9 paid holidays, plus 10 days of PTO available after 6 months (may alter slightly based on client policies) For many U.S. and Canadian companies, finding and keeping affordable, highly skilled talent remains a challenge. Across Latin America, talented professionals seek stable, innovative projects with industry-leading companies. At AgilityFeat , we’ve spent over a decade solving this puzzle. We’ve helped countless North American companies scale their teams while opening doors for Latin American professionals to access career-defining opportunities. We are currently building a nearshore implementation team for a U.S. fintech client specializing in the private funds industry. The team will work in close partnership with the company's U.S.-based implementation team. Superior English and communication skills are required. Our Ideal Candidate You've built several years of solid finance or accounting operations experience and have experience in the private funds industry,, and you've reached the point where you don't need much oversight to get your work right. When you hit an edge case, you don't wait to be told what to do. You dig in, weigh the options, and bring a solution, not just a question. You're collaborative by nature, comfortable partnering across a cross-functional, cross-border team, and you give and take feedback well. You're energized by doing the work directly (configuring, testing, troubleshooting) rather than stepping back from it, and less experienced teammates naturally lean on you for guidance on specific pieces of work. Key Responsibilities • Own Implementation Work: Own either a substantial piece of a larger financial implementation involving multiple entities, structures, or workflows, or a full, single-entity implementation end-to-end, with minimal oversight. • Propose Solutions: Identify edge cases independently and propose solutions rather than escalating for direction on every issue. • Guide Others: Provide guidance to Associates on specific pieces of work. • Partner Cross-Functionally: Work closely with the U.S.-based Implementation, Product, and Engineering teams, surfacing issues uncovered during testing and implementation. Technical Requirements • 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance operations. • 1+ year experience in the private funds industry as a fund accountant, private funds operations professional, or implementation specialist at a fund administrator, fund manager, or fund management software provider. • Demonstrated comfort managing large, complex data sets. • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, a related field, or equivalent experience. • Fluent written and spoken English (B2+), with strong communication skills for daily coordination with a U.S.-based team. Preferred Skills • Track record of implementing, configuring, or rolling out software, systems, or operational processes, ideally with SaaS or cloud-based platforms. • Hands-on experience using AI tools to build or support automations. • Experience adjusting quickly to evolving workflows, priorities, and tooling. Nice to Have • Solid working knowledge of private fund structures and calculations. • CPA or equivalent experience. Originally posted on Himalayas
