SharePoint Consultant We’re looking for a SharePoint Server Consultant with experience designing, configuring, administering, and supporting on-premises SharePoint environments. The ideal candidate combines functional consulting skills with strong platform knowledge and can translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and user-friendly SharePoint solutions. What You’ll Do • Gather and analyze business requirements to design effective SharePoint solutions • Configure and manage sites, site collections, lists, libraries, content types, metadata, and navigation • Administer SharePoint farms through Central Administration and PowerShell • Configure and support web applications, service applications, search, workflows, and permissions • Manage authentication, access controls, and platform security • Monitor platform health, availability, capacity, and performance • Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, configuration, and user-access issues • Support deployments, patches, backups, restoration, and disaster-recovery activities • Collaborate with infrastructure and database teams across Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, and SQL Server • Prepare technical documentation and provide guidance or training to users and stakeholders Availability Requirement • Availability to work during planned maintenance windows between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Atlantic Standard Time (AST/UTC−4), when required and coordinated in advance. Your Core Technology Stack We’re looking for hands-on experience with: • SharePoint Server 2016 • SharePoint Central Administration • SharePoint farm architecture • Site collections, web applications, and service applications • SharePoint Search • SharePoint permissions and security • Windows Server and Internet Information Services (IIS) • Microsoft SQL Server • Active Directory and claims-based authentication • PowerShell • SharePoint lists, libraries, workflows, content types, and metadata • Information architecture and document management Additional Experience We Value Experience with any of the following would be a plus: • SharePoint Designer 2013 • InfoPath 2013 • C# and .NET • SharePoint Client-Side Object Model (CSOM) • SharePoint REST APIs • Custom web parts and farm solutions • SharePoint migration or version-upgrade projects • SharePoint Server 2013, 2019, or Subscription Edition • SharePoint Online or hybrid environments • Power BI or SQL Server Reporting Services integrations • High-availability and disaster-recovery environments What Will Help You Succeed • Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical SharePoint solutions • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills • Understanding of SharePoint governance, security, and platform administration • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer skills • Collaborative, service-oriented, and proactive approach Originally posted on Himalayas
