Serve as go-to counsel and partner for teams building Abridge's core AI models and products, advising on legal issues that span model development, agentic workflows, multimodal outputs, and downstream clinical use.
Identify, address, and design practical mitigations for AI-specific legal risks, including model behavior, output accuracy, IP, data provenance and training rights, and liability for AI-generated content.
Develop and scale flexible legal processes, frameworks, and contract language suited to the pace of frontier AI development, rather than relying solely on precedent from other industries.
Serve as an internal expert on AI legal and policy matters, helping shape Abridge's positions on emerging AI regulation and representing those positions with external counsel, regulators, and industry groups as needed.
Support privacy impact assessments, model risk assessments, and data governance frameworks specific to AI training, fine-tuning, and deployment.
Partner with legal, product, and compliance stakeholders on AI principles such as transparency, accountability, and human oversight.
