We are a growing, privately held company looking for a dedicated Project Accounting Specialist to join our team. Position Overview: As a Project Accounting Specialist , you will play a critical role in managing project finances, ensuring accuracy in billing and reporting, and supporting internal teams and external clients. This role is integral to Telaid’s commitment to reducing the time, task, risk, and cost of technology deployments. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with Project Managers to gather timely and accurate information for monthly billings. • Input project budgets and billing information into financial systems proactively. • Generate invoices using various software and resolve billing-related issues with customers. • Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies. • Review credit reports for new customers to establish credit limits. • Prepare periodic reports using accounting software. • Participate in regular project review meetings to analyze financial performance and trends. • Research and respond to inquiries from the Project Management Team regarding project costs and revenues. • Develop project financial templates and support client onboarding to ensure smooth submission processes. • Perform client submission verifications and address issues related to aging balances, escalating when necessary. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing and account-related discrepancies. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred). • Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing and collections. • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. • Experience with Crystal Reports and Microsoft Power BI is a plus. • Familiarity with ERP systems and project accounting environments is desirable.
