About the role

Role Title: computational physics Role Type: Contractor Location: Remote micro1 is engaging computational physics experts to contribute their technical expertise to a dynamic customer project focused on advancing AI systems. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. The opportunity is ideal for professionals deeply involved in STEM fields who have incorporated AI coding agents as active tools in their workflows, particularly for solving advanced computational problems. Scope of Work • Provide detailed, real-world walkthroughs of computational physics problem-solving utilizing AI coding agents in complex technical scenarios. • Demonstrate the use of AI agents—including Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork—for tasks such as navigating extensive codebases, debugging nuanced issues, or developing sophisticated features. • Document and clearly articulate the specific approaches, decisions, and methodologies used when employing AI agents for sequence generation (not chat-based tasks). • Assess and describe workflows where agentic tools aided in architectural changes or the resolution of ambiguous computational challenges. • Generate high-quality examples and technical feedback to inform and improve AI model training. • Communicate findings and insights effectively through both written and verbal channels, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Preferred Qualifications • Advanced hands-on experience in computational physics, with a track record of technical problem-solving and research. • Proficiency and demonstrable history using Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork in real-world settings. • Current or recent experience as a STEM professional applying AI agents to technical workflows beyond simple coding support. • Ability to clearly describe complex, end-to-end technical solutions and the agentic tools leveraged throughout. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on producing detailed technical documentation. • Experience generating agent-driven sequences for problem-solving, rather than relying on chat-based interactions. • Familiarity with debugging, architectural change management, and developing in large-scale code environments using AI tools.
